Youth Engagement Zone Exhibition and Community Celebration

This summer I have been working with middle and high school students in the Youth Education Zone, a collaboration of organizations working together to bring the students of North East Denver a summer experience in sustainability, art, entrepreneurship, and college prep.

For eight weeks we worked in the heat at Manual High School studying and making art projects about water and energy conservation, green energy, health, shelter and transportation. We were inspired by the Design for the Other 90% exhibition at RedLine. Along with fellow artists Linda Campbell and Katina Lowe the students created some pretty great projects. Join us on September 10, from noon until 3 p.m. for free organic food that the students grew and prepared themselves along with music and a community celebration and exhibition.
